24 April 2008 - UPDATE! IMA's Bath Spa University finance seminars a success
IMA Enterprises delivered the second and final bookkeeping and finance seminar for aspiring entrepreneurs at Bath Spa University, at the Newton Park campus this past Tuesday, 22 April.
Shortly after the seminar, Susan Cherrett, the Business Support Manager for Bath Spa University, received the following letter of praise for the day:
Dear Susan, I would like to thank you for everything regarding the two entrepreneurship seminars. I found them extremely interesting and I feel they have also been beneficial! To be honest, I didn't have the toys' idea as a serious one before the seminars, and now I am trying to explore and put in more of my time and effort, and, of course, the knowledge I received through the seminars, into it! I am so grateful to have met so many intelligent people who I can learn from! Even though there was a lot of information to take in, it was presented in a very accessible and understandable way...not only information was passed on but also a lot of advice.
The day-long sessions were aimed at students and academics who want to commercialise their ideas but need to acquire extra business know-how.
The seminars included practical group exercises, open discussion and Q&A sessions. Topics include 'Setting up - the first steps', 'Day-to-day processes', 'Staying afloat', 'Support Systems' and 'Accountancy in practice - Real-life experiences and scenarios'.
